I have been working with healing energy most of my life, however did not fully realize this until 2006.
Healing is interspersed amongst my memories of events like the times when I encountered and prayed for a dog, cat or squirrel that had already crossed over, and as a child, when I visited my mother at work and was exposed to persons who had disabilities both physical and emotional and I willed for them to be well and whole.
Healing occured when I hugged a relative, patted my now-deceased grandmother's abdomen with the effort to relieve her pain and also the time when I stroked "Tiny" a beloved dog and said "I love you" as he took his last breath.
In adulthood, after meandering in and out of the field of Western Medicine, having attended basic classes in Registered Nursing in the 1970s, having taken miscellaneous medical courses around the turn of the century, and having graduated as Class Valedictorian being deemed a Registered Medical Assistant in 2002; I fully remembered that my desire was to assist with healing holistically. I completed Level I & II Reiki in October 2006. I received my Reiki Master Teacher Certificate from a licensed teacher with the International Center for Reiki Training in May, 2007. I became a member in of the International Association of Reiki Professionals also in 2007. I am an Ordained Minister with The Universal Life Church Monastery. I have been a member of American Medical Technologists since 2002. I have Level I training in Healing Touch and Integrated Energy Therapy(IET).
I now believe my life purpose is to Love, See Oneness, Be.
I endeavor to continue to experience the miracles of Love by providing Reiki and other healing modalities to people, animals, and other living things to assist all in returning to their natural state of well being.
